How to Stay In A Optimum Fat Percentage

Has been 25 years since I started exercising. I would never have thought about my future and how happy I am for taking the decision of adopting a healthy life back then.

My real motivation to transform my body was very superficial, but that was enough to stick to a weight lifting program. I wanted to transform my body to attract the opposite sex. However, as the years passed, my motivation was more about health, longevity and freedom.

I was so determined and focused on transforming my body that I reached my goal after 3 years since I started. Honestly I have always been a skinny boy, so my fat percentage has been low, but I don’t know how low and where I started.

But since I remember I have been measured, I have managed to be at 11 optimum body fat percentage.

Jisela, my wife, started exercising with a high body fat percentage, around 40% body fat. She managed to go down to 23% body fat, got pregnant and after that she got down to 18% body fat. It took her around 7 months after her pregnancy to get there.

Every 2 months we take measurements to find out our fat percentage and we continue being very close to 11% body fat for me and 18% body fat for Jisela.

We don’t follow the exact same diet or same exercise habits, but we are very close to it. For example, I drink my smoothie after my workout every morning around 8 am, eat my lunch around 12 pm, eat a snack around 3 pm and dinner around 8 pm.

Jisela eats her first meal around 11 am, eats a snack around 3 pm and eats dinner at 8 pm. We both eat healthy foods.

I exercise every morning following the same routine every week. Jisela changes her exercise routine every week.

I hike for an hour 3 times a week while Jisela runs 3 to 4 times a week.

The routines are similar, but are not the same. There are some differences such as weight lifting programs, eating schedule and cardio preferences.

We both push to the limits when it is about weight lifting and continue increasing our weight lifting weights as our body aloud it. We both do cardio at least 3 times per week and we both eat healthy.

But what really matters is that we both are consistent and disciplined with everything and continue practicing repetitive good habits day after day.

To conclude

You can start with a high or low fat percentage. In reality it does not matter. My wife and I are examples of this. If you are disciplined with your program, you will get to a desirable, healthy body fat percentage.

And to stay in that desired fat percentage such as 11% for men and 18% for women, you must be consistent with your healthy habits, practicing your habits every day putting your health as a priority. How to Stay In A Optimum Fat Percentage
