One of the reasons why many people want to lose weight and transform their bodies is because they want to increase their self confidence. I know that because people who I interview to sign up to our program are one of the reasons they give. I should say the biggest reason. Losing weight is not going to be the catalyst that will increase your self confidence even though it will help.
So here are 8 ways to increase yourself confidence...
There are many things that you need to take into consideration to increase your self confidence. Here I am going to share with you eight behaviors that will increase your self confidence.
Exercise will not only improve your appearance and aid you with weight loss which will help you with your self confidence as I mentioned before, but it will also make you stronger and faster. It will improve your resistance and give you stamina. That means that you will be confident when your friends invite you to bike, hike, play volleyball or any other physical game. Now you feel confidence to do almost any physical activity. Exercise to feel confident.
If you take the time to learn an important topic, not only you have the knowledge to help others, but you will also have the confidence to make decisions and the possibilities of you making the right decisions is higher because you took the time to study the subject you are interested in. That makes you confident in your decision making and exchanging ideas with others.
You will never be able to master something if you don’t take the time to practice. Practicing a language that you want to learn, a skill that you want to develop, or anything that you want to feel confident about. The more you practice such a skill, the more confident you will be when you use it. Practicing will increase your confidence at what you are practicing.
When you are learning something new or you are taking a new risk, you are going to fail. If you embrace failing instead of trying to avoid it, you will succeed. If you are afraid of failing, you will never try and therefore never succeed. To succeed you need to fail and success increases your self confidence.
5. Be interested in others
Start talking to people about them. We are interested in ourselves. If you start talking to people about them, they will start a conversation. If you ask honest questions about the person, she will reveal what she is interested about. Make sure you are a good listener. The more you talk, the more confident you become about talking to others and the most safe way not to be rejected is by being interested in them. If you are interested in others and talk to them about it, your self confidence increases.
6. Embrace rejection
Rejection tells us that there is something wrong with us and that we are not accepted by others. Acceptance is a psychological human need. Many people who are not mentally strong commit suicide because of rejections. You need to learn to accept yourself and stop trying to make everyone happy. Learn that not everyone is going to like and be ready for those people to reject you. However, do not stop trying, creating and improving for fear of rejection. Embracing rejection makes you confident.
7. Tell the truth
When you know you are telling the truth, there is nothing to hide and be afraid of. You also know inside of you when you are honest and therefore, you respect yourself more. Don’t lie. Lying is the opposite. By lying you know you are a liar and you are not to be trusted. Telling the truth also improves your self confidence.
8. Live up to your contracts
There is nothing worse than breaking your contracts with you, and others. If you make a promise, make sure you make it happen. When you start breaking your contracts, you don’t believe in yourself nor do others believe in you. This is the best way to increase your confidence, by fulfilling your contracts.
Everything in life takes time, so to improve your self confidence it will also take time...
However, every time you practice any of these eight behaviors, you will notice the difference in your confidence.
