My days usually start at 4:30 am. I drink my lemon water, meditate and shower and I am ready for my exercise. I have been following this routine for around 8 years. Most of these days I feel energetic, but there are some days that I wake up tired.
Of course, the days that I feel tired are more difficult than my normal days. Therefore, I do everything that is on my hands to improve my days when I feel tired.
Here are the 8 habits I practice to make my days more energetics:
Take a nap.

Most of the times when I am tired is because I have not slept enough or my quality of sleep is low…
So I take a longer nap in the middle of my day to fully function for the rest of the day. High functional people most likely take a nap during the day. So don’t be shy to schedule a nap during your tired day.
Eat healthy.
When I used to eat anything without caring about ingredients in my food, I used to get tired and sleepy after my lunch and dinner. That was every time. Now that I eat healthy foods cooked at home, I don’t feel tired after eating. When you eat foods your body can’t digest easily, you spend a lot of energy trying to digest those foods and you feel tired and sleepy, so make sure you eat healthy foods to stay energetic.
Exercise.

When I wake up tired, I get into my meditation and be thankful, think about my goals and map my day...
Then I go to exercise, not wanting to do it. However, once I finish my exercise, I feel energetic and with the attitude that I can do anything during my day because I have done the most difficult task of my day. Exercising is one of the best habits you can incorporate in your morning routine to start your energetic day.
Give yourself a break.
I love progressing and staying busy doing things that matter in my life. I have many projects at Custom Body Fitness, with my family, personal, at my house, business projects and I am usually busy every single moment of my life. Nevertheless, there are days that I feel stressed and tired. I make sure that I take a break and take a walk or simply don’t do anything that day to reset myself, recharge and start my next day motivated and energetic. Don’t forget to take a break when you need to. Don’t burn out.
Take a vacation.
My life consists of staying busy doing things that matter to the world, my family and to me…
But this can become a boring routine that can make me tired. Therefore, a couple of vacations a year are important to get out of the routine and start my routine fresh and energetic. So schedule a couple of vacations a year in your busy calendar.
Stop alcohol.

I am sorry for telling the truth if you like to drink even one drink; Alcohol does nothing good for your body except to steal your energy for the next day. Your body takes a lot of energy trying to get rid of the alcohol that your body can’t digest. It damages your brain and kills neurons. To recuperate from a hangover it will take you a full week, energy that you can use to do other things in your life. So if you are low in energy and you want to have more energy, stop drinking and you will see the difference.
Consider your medication.
Most people take medication lightly…
While some medications are taken in case of emergency, many people make these medications a lifestyle. All medications have side effects. There is no exception. They all affect your body and take energy to be digested and removed. All medications are harmful chemicals. So you may want to talk to your doctor to find out what other options you have to get rid of the illness that you are fighting other than using medication. That will increase your energy dramatically.
Stop caffeine.
I like how coffee tastes, so I drink coffee once in a while. But I try not to drink it often because it makes me tired the next day. Many people have the perception that coffee gives energy. However, coffee helps metabolize the energy you have reserved faster. Therefore, you have less energy to burn the next day and if you continue drinking coffee everyday, it comes the day that your body can’t handle the demand of energy and you crash. It is important that you don’t burn out your body by drinking too much coffee. Keep your energy balance, so cut caffeine in your life.
