Changing Your Diet- Weight Loss Guidelines for Beginners

Let me begin by explaining that a diet is an act of regularly eating the same way. For example, the Paleo Diet is based on how people just ate in Paleolithic times. The Mediterranean Diet is how people eat in the Mediterranean area. The Western Diet is how people eat in the west. You get the point, right?


So a diet is not something that you follow just for a short period of time… 


But this is the meaning that our society has given to the word diet. Now people diet or are dieting, but the reality is that a diet is how someone or a group of people follow during their lives.

So right now you are following a diet, if you are overweight or have a high percentage of fat, you may be following the junk food diet, fast food diet and this is how you are eating. If you want to be successful in your weight loss and in your health, then you need to change your diet by eating healthy. 



This does not mean following a diet for a short period of time or dieting just to lose weight… 


It means that you need to change your habits to change the way you are eating.


You don’t need to follow a diet or learn everything about a specific diet. The very first step you need to take is to know what you are eating that is keeping you overweight and what you are not eating that will help you lose weight.

In the beginning of changing your diet don’t worry about micronutrients, macronutrients, amount of protein, amount of carbohydrates, fats, dairy, meat, grains, mercury in fish and all these confusing things that many people debate. I am not saying that this is not important, but what I am saying is that it gets confusing when you focus on the things that are not the most important things in the beginning. 

These products are not meant for you to eat. They are meant for profit. They make you overweight and cause diseases. So know everything about them and get them out of your diet.

If you do this, you have done the hardest step in changing your diet to start losing weight, be healthy and never regain the weight again.


The next step is to eat everything that God has created for us where there is no human intervention to process our foods, meats, grains, legumes, plants, vegetables and fruits...

Be aware of how these foods are grown. Don’t buy anything that has pesticide, hormone, antibiotics, and any other drugs that alters the natural state of the animal, plant, grain, legume or fruits. All these chemicals will interfere with your weight loss and health. Everything that is sprayed, given or put into our foods we end up eating it, so don’t take it lightly. 


Start with these two recommendations and your diet will be healthy. These recommendations are the most important. After you have achieved this, then you can take your diet to another level.
